Udai Singh Chosen as Official 2007 Governing Board Nominee

After reviewing several nominations, the Nominating Committee recommended, and the Governing Board agreed, that Udai P. Singh, D.Engr, BCM (AAEE), PMP, M.ASCE becomes the EWRI Governing Board Official Nominee for the 2007 position of EWRI Vice President. The position on the Board will start on October 1, 2007. Udai has spent his entire professional career with CH2M HILL. He began his tenure as a Water Resources Engineer in 1974, and has held various positions as project and program managers until his most recent assignment as the Senior Program Manager/Senior Client Service Manager. Udai has also held the office of vice president for the firm's Environmental Services Business Group since 1997. His contributions to his firm are expansive, much like his contributions to ASCE and, specifically, EWRI. In fact, he was a founding member of EWRI in 1999, and has been extremely active within the Institute ever since. Udai has dedicated his services by holding positions within ASCE and EWRI, including Chair of ASCE's Environmental Engineering Division in 1996. Since 2005, he has been a member of EWRI's Governing Board, as well as a chair for the Institute Operations Executive Committee. In addition, he has been instrumental in the preparation and execution of several EWRI events. He served as the General Conference Chair for EWRI's first international conference: "An International Perspective on Environmental and Water Resources," held in New Delhi, India. Any EWRI member in good standing may file a petition nomination for the V.P. position with the EWRI Executive Director. Petitions must be in accordance with the EWRI bylaws.
