International Fellows Honored at 2004 Congress
The EWRI's International Cooperation (ICC) hosted Dr. Dilorom Fayzieva of Uzbekistan, Mr. Wijanto Hadipuro of Indonesia, and Dr. Jose Ochoa-Iturbe of Venezuela as its distinguished Visiting International Fellows at the 2004 World Water and Environmental Resources Congress held this summer in Salt Lake City, Utah. Each Fellow gave a presentation on a water or environmental resources topic pertinent to his or her country and was honored at the well-attended International Reception. In addition, each Fellow participated in professional exchange activities outside of the conference during their visit to the United States.
Preparations for the 2005 Fellowship are currently underway. The 2005 Fellows will be honored at the EWRI 2005 Congress in Anchorage, Alaska (May 15-19, 2005). Each Fellow must be hosted by a U.S. or Canada-based EWRI/ASCE member who will be responsible for submitting the application.
