Editor's Corner Successful EWRI Congress ![]() David W. Renetzky, Communications Council Chair I am writing upon return from this year's World Water and Environmental Resources Congress in Salt Lake City. Thanks to all those involved for making it a truly grand event. The Congress provided presentations on a wide variety of environmental and water resources topics. I think I speak for most of us when I say that it became difficult having to choose one technical session over another to attend each day. The presentations were complemented by various seminars, displays, and field trips throughout the conference. Hopefully, through the field trips or on your own, you were able to see some of the beautiful sights around Salt Lake. An added convenience of the Congress was that it provided a place for councils and committees to get together and discuss business. I trust that the valuable time together advanced work toward each group's respective missions. The Communications Council had a very beneficial meeting with ASCE/EWRI staff. Among other topics, we discussed comments from our membership about the Currents newsletter. I really appreciate the feedback I have been receiving - it is a key component in assuring that the newsletter continues to work for you. Whether it is an article, an idea for an article, or a tip to improve Currents, I want to hear from you. Online submittal is available at the Communications Council website. Also, feel free to contact me at (816)527-2313 or drenetzky@hntb.com and I will be glad to help. |
