EWRI to Cosponsor Transboundary Water SymposiumPlans are well underway to help organize the 2nd International Symposium on Transboundary Waters Management for November 16-19, 2004 in Tucson, Arizona. The first such symposium was held in Monterrey, Mexico in 2002 and was organized by IMTA and the Mexican Hydraulics Association. The Environmental and Water Resources Institute (EWRI) is a co-sponsor for the 2nd Symposium and is working closely with the University of Arizona in planning for this event. The Border International Water Quality Standards Committee and the Transboundary Environmental Management in Canada, Mexico and USA after NAFTA Task Committee of the International Cooperation Council will meet during the symposium.For more information, contact Mark Killgore at mkillgore@louisberger.com and visit the symposium website at http://www.sahra.arizona.edu/twm/. |
